While your body does produce enzymes to help our bodies break down food, because we are eating such large quantities of foods with no enzymes, our bodies are having a hard time breaking it down.

If you are healthy, then your body should produce enough of each enzyme to process the food you eat, and that, in turn, should result in less diseases and disorders.

If, however, you are diagnosed with a deficiency in a particular enzyme, then you should probably speak to your doctor about taking an enzyme supplement to correct the imbalance. Otherwise, even if you eat a healthy, balanced diet, you still will not be getting all the nutrients you need, and you might also experience symptoms of an intolerance.
